Ingredients Needed:
- 450 g cornish sweetheart cabbage, washed and cut into 1 inch wide long strips
- 200 g frozen and defrosted broad beans
- 2 inch butter melted or 2 tbsp ghee
- ¾ tsp rock salt
- ½ tsp finely ground pepper
- ¼ tsp flaked reg pepper (optional)
- Few round strips of red pepper or few cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Method:
- Keep the steamer on high heat. As soon as the water starts boiling, add cabbage and broad beans in separate pans and keep on the top of the boiling pot.
- Let these boil. Broad beans should be ready in 5 to 6 minutes. When the beans are soft, take out of the pan and put in a bowl. After another 2 to 3 minutes, switch off the heat of the pan which has cabbage. Mix cabbage with the beans.
- Add salt and pepper and mix these again. Finally add butter or ghee and mix again.
- Top this with pepper or cherry tomato.
Special Notes:
- This dish can be eaten as a side.
