Ingredients Needed:
- 2 tbsp ghee or coconut oil
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- ½ tsp of mustard seeds
- 2 inch ginger, peeled and grated
- 4 cloves of garlic, cut into long thin pieces
- ½ green chili, cut into small pieces (optional)
- ¾ tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp rock salt, more can be added as per taste
- 500 gram or 2 big sweet potato, boiled
- 4 sprigs of celery, cut into small pieces
- ¼ black pepper, finely ground
- Few sprigs of fresh coriander, cut coarsely
Method:
- Take a heavy based pan and keep on medium heat. When it gets a little hot, add oil and leave it for a while and add cumin and mustard seeds. As soon as it starts bubbling, add ginger, garlic and chilli if used. Stir for a minute or until it turns a little pink, add turmeric powder and mix these properly.
- After a couple of minutes, add celery and stir it nicely and cover for 2 to 3 minutes. Add Sweet potato and salt and mix properly and cover it for 5 minutes. Heat should be reduced to low. Stir it and cover again. After 5 minutes, the dish should be ready.
- This should be transferred to a bowl and garnish with black pepper and garnish with coriander leaves.
